Industrial Visit to Jaipur and Neemrana by SVIMS students November 2016
This year’s industrial visit of SVIMS started on 27th November 2016 with 74 students from both first and second year students of MMS boarding the train Jaipur Super fast express from Mumbai Central station at 6.50 pm. The industrial visit to Rajastan was scheduled from 28th November to 30th November.
1st Day: Reached Jaipur station at 3.30 pm and straight away went for Amer Fort(Amber Fort) by two buses. Amer Fort is located in Amer, high on hill nearly 11 kms. from Jaipur and is built by Raja Mansingh in early 17th century. It is known for its artistic hindu style elements constructed of red stone and marble. The guide explained in detail about the Diwan-i-Aam, the Diwan-i-khas, the sheesh mahal, the sukh niwas and also about Ganesh gate. Students also enjoyed the view of Maota lake and Kesar Kyari.
Afterwards students checked into Cambay Kukus and enjoyed the DJ at night.
2nd Day: On 29th November departed from Jaipur to Neemrana which is an industrial hub situated 125 kms from Jaipur. Students checked into Cambay Saffire at Neemrana and after the sumptuous lunch went for factory visits.
Visited Shorewala Global Industries factory which has approximately 400 workers. They manufacture towels, mats and other home furnishings. They have power looms and dying and printing facilities.
Next was SEL industries factory. They have large yarn manufacturing unit which is mainly export oriented. From raw cotton to different varieties of yarns are manufactured here in this factory with 450 workers. Automatic spinning machines are having a capacity of giving 40 MT output.
Then visited Havell’s motor and pump manufacturing unit. This is a part of large electrical equipment manufacturing facility. Here they manufacture 400-500 different kinds of motors and pumps per day.
After the factory visits students enjoyed the DJ at night. Next day the entourage went back to Jaipur and visited Hawa Mahal, Jalmahal and Jantar Mantar before shopping at Jaipur market.
Boarded the train at Jaipur station at 8.25 pm and reached back Mumbai the next day afternoon.
