On the 12th of December, 2015, an organization named ‘My Kind of Job’ enlightened the students of Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Management Studies & Research on the topic ‘Campus to Corporate’. Mr. Mohammad Raza Mulla, a very dynamic speaker, presented a short summary of what is required by students for becoming ‘Employable’.
He started with 4 important tips required by all job seekers:
1. Basic understanding of the job you are hired for
2. Communication skills (Oral, Written & Non-verbal)
3. IT Skills
4. Problem Solving
Then he touched upon topics of utmost importance for MBA students – How to prepare for the interview. He also tipped the students on how to make their 1st impression a positively memorable one, how to sit during an interview, how to converse, how the body language should be, the impact of dressing sense, how to close an interview, how to leave the office premises & how to follow up after the interview. The speaker gave tips on how to improve the job seeker’s Social Media presence & how to handle nervousness.
Mr. Mohammad suggested the students to work on live projects & make effective research thesis for the same. He made the students realize that the degree they were pursuing is that of ‘Masters’ & hence, all the students should believe in themselves & act like Masters of their own Destiny.
In all the seminar was a great success & the speaker’s enthusiasm was widely appreciated by everyone present in the room.
